About Us
Since their son’s death, the Paynes have dedicated their lives to “being there” – at police funerals, memorials, and other times of need. Their involvement in ministry to the law enforcement community has provided needed support for grieving parents, spouses, and families, as well as co-workers and departments.
For over twenty years Barb and Ray have traveled extensively, encouraging churches and others to sponsor “Police Appreciation” events, as well as being involved in seminars, conferences, teen camps and retreats.
As a police chaplain, Ray assisted at ”Ground Hero” in the immediate aftermath of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on New York City. Over the next several months the Paynes found themselves nearly overwhelemed as they ministered around the clock to grieving police officers, firefighters, and others effected by 9/11.
Ray has also served as the Northeast Region National Trustee for C.O.P.S. – “Concerns Of Police Survivors, Inc.” and is currently the East Coast Regional Representative for Peace Officers For Christ International.
Feel free to contact the Paynes if you need additional resources, would like to arrange a meeting or police event or if you just need someone who will “be there”.

Dear Ray and Barbara,
Just thinking about you wondering how Barbara is doing and if you are able to get some relief from the snow. We have had a record snow here but not near as much as you have. Thursday the Police Dept had a memorial ceremony for Molly at her grave site. Our pastor shared Romans 8:24,25. Opens the opportunity for a good testimony. Any chance you might be coming our way (Missouri) this year? God Bless You.
